Not only do we care about the growth of ' autistic ' children , but we also care for the well-being of their parents - the whole families' body , mind and soul .

With the spirit of self-help and helping others , the general awareness of autism in the society has to be raised and charitable groups need to be arranged to contact and care for families which are in a sad plight .

There is a comprehensive and effective home training program offered by ' Louis Program ' Training Centre . It is deeply believed that , irrespective of the family means and the children's ability , the training program will facilitate the continuous improvement and growth of the children, as long as parents are fully trained and equipped so that their ability in bringing up their children is enhanced. With this training, the children will surely be able to assimilate into and benefit the community, by relieving the pressure on society.

Since the establishment of the Centre, the following courses and services have been organized:

• „P Louis Program Training Courses and Extended Courses for parents;
• „P Remote Follow-up Scheme, Group Follow-up Scheme and Practical Training Workshops, which assist parents to conduct training at home;
• „P Louis Program Sensory Integration Therapy, Group Therapy and Self-help Therapy for children; and
• „P Train-the-trainer courses to train up home program trainers.

Moreover, various support services for parents and members of the general public have been launched, including:¡@

• „P Parent support groups held in the Centre;
• „P Assistance to churches in establishing bible school teaching for autistic children and parent support groups; and
• „P Volunteer training programs for bible school teachers and volunteers.

Apart from courses organized and services provided, the Centre has also published books and produced audio-visual materials. Moreover, during various occasions and through different media, it has conveyed messages on the difficulties which families with autistic children have to overcome, as well as its relevant caring and nurturing work. Not only has it provided services to local families and organizations, it has also organized overseas courses in Australia, Canada and Mainland China, etc. since its early time of establishment. Recently, the Centre has also launched new work in South East Asia, such as organizing courses and training trainers; and providing guidance to lesson planning of kindergarten education in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Nowadays, there are still lots of helpless families. We understand our effort is so minimal that lots of work needs to be carried out. We hope that you can join the Louis Program ministry, such that with our joint effort, the children in need of these services can grow up with happiness, learn and live in our society with harmony. We¡¦ll strive to achieve this target hoping that, in the near future, we can:

• „P Promote the idea of Louis Program Training by organizing training courses, providing services; and training up trainers;
• „P We dream of setting up Louis Program Training Schools for parents and children to help them learn and experience home program. Parents can then apply the skill learnt in the Program after graduation and bring up their children with better abilities;
• „P Organize training courses and support services to schools and teachers, especially those engaged in early childhood education;
• „P Assist others to set up local parent support groups and district networks in order to enhance support and mutual assistance among themselves;
• „P Design occupational skill trainings and placement service programs for autistic adult, help them to integrate into the society so as to achieve the target of getting the right person for the right job.

¡§ An autistic child at home leading to the formation of an autistic family ¡¨exists as a real life situation , although this fact may not be experienced by the general public . I have known SK and Yolanda for over 30 years and have seen how they once struggled and evaded others. They did not want to be in touch with others and just dedicated all their time to their child's learning . I can almost personally feel their pain. Besides praying for them in silence , I also asked God to give me an opportunity to support their ministry . Thanks to the Lord for allowing me to serve those families in need in April 1999 together with SK during the ' Louis Program ' Oasis Camp organized at YMCA Wu Kai Sha Youth Village . Because of the Lord's guidance , we have been able to set up together the ' Louis Program ' Training Centre in 2002 .

In the blink of an eye, the Centre has already been established for 5 years . God has let us experienced His presence by our side , and He has made use of the Louis Program's team to contact families with different needs . We have also witnessed the healing of many dejected parents , the reunion of broken families , the strengthening of single-parent families , the reduction in the behaviour of scolding and beating children .... This is not only because of the ' Louis Program Training Course ' offered by the Centre , but more importantly , it is due to the fact that we are flowing with Christ's love . He continuously calls coworkers and volunteers to help support this ministry . Although many volunteers are professionals , they are willing to serve humbly hiding behind the cross by acting as Sunday School teachers , carers and practical tutors etc . Truly all things work together for good to them that love God .

May the Lord continue to make use of this team to act as His salt and His light . Amen !

Through Louis' message , the Holy Spirit has taught , encouraged and reminded us to be ' obedient ' , to ' work harder ' , to go through the ' narrow road ' , to ' spread the gospel ' , to act as ' instrument ' , to ' endure and wait ' , and that ' more coworkers will be prepared '. These important reminders inside have been repeated for over a hundred times . As a result, the five of us in our family have been serving obediently with the same mind for 5 years . During many school holidays, Louis who stayed at home was completely looked after by his sister ( Rina ) and his sworn brother ( Jason ), eating refrigerated dishes prepared by mum before her departure ... Even though Daddy was still in the prime of his career , he still made an effort to squeeze some time to help in coordination and logistic work. He also paid for my travel expenses. As for me , I had to hand carry a few hundred slides traveling to Canada , Hong Kong and Eastern Australia etc by myself ...

' But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is , and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him . ' ( Hebrews 11 : 6 ) I believe this is the truth and because of the volumes of messages which the Holy Sprit gave to me via Louis ( refer to message of 13.7.97 ) , I know that God's promises will be realized. Starting from 2002 , core members , volunteers , and coworkers really have appeared one by one ... During this period of time , my husband and I were broken , recast and renewed . We have continued to grow and continued to learn to please the Lord .

' Now faith is the substance of things hoped for , the evidence of things not seen . ' ( Hebrews 11 : 1 ) The idea of training tutors originates from Jesus' disciples training . ' After ten years ' gestation , God has prepared the 2nd generation of practical tutors for ' Louis Program' who are willing to be equipped and to dedicate themselves in learning the project of ' Influencing life with life ' . With God's grace , we will again have several fellow travelers this year, who will join the ministry .

As predicted by Louis , God will make use of this miracle and the ' Louis Program ' to help people on five of the continents of the earth . All over the world there will be the establishment of ' Louis Program ' , ' Tutors Training ' and ' Louis Program Training Centres ' . ( refer to messages of 24.7.97 and 28.7.97 ) Through the rest of my life , I am willing to continue to glow , to burn for the Lord and to pass the torch forward so that the torchlight will persist and become a sacrifice that is pleasing to the Lord .
