Profile of Founder
Yolanda Wong is a full time mother . She was once a nursing officer in the operating theatre at Nethersole Hospital of Hong Kong. She and her family migrated to Perth , Australia in 1992 . In 1995 , she started to teach her son who is a non-verbal, mentally handicapped , autistic child, Louis. From the teaching material , she developed a home-based training program for autistic children . This program , Louis Program , is recognized by professionals in special schools and government centres . She organized her previous experience and worksheets to produce the very effective teaching materials for autistic children . This program is used to help local Chinese families with autistic children . Yolanda is also occasionally invited to overseas countries to conduct Louis Program training course seminars .
Course and Aims

With years of practical experience , the Louis Program has been developed by removing difficult theories and replace by simplified steps and procedures for parents which directly benefiting those autistic families .

Aims of course :
  • Introducing the " Louis Program " to those families in need .
  • Inspire parents to unleash children's potential through simple and executable steps and methods .
  • Encourage parents as the teacher of the child to cope with the community with the assistance of professional , relatives and friends .
  • Induce parents to acquaint the love from Jesus Christ , by praying to support continuous training to the child .
Who this Program is for
Those who have mentally handicapped or autistic children , as well as family members , friends , or trainers who have a heart to help these children .
Implementation
Louis Program aims to provide training for those who are willing to teach their autistic child at home . The most important way to take care and teach these children is to depend on the love from our Lord Jesus Christ , and through the workshops , seminars , small group counseling , personal counseling , and prayer support groups to create a tailored program for each individual family . With these elements , not only can we maximize the child's potential , we can also help parents to renew their lives by introducing them to Jesus Christ , so that the whole family can be re-built in love .
